I just really want to know if this is a me-thing, or a devs-please-have-mercy-thing. Even though the class seems exotic and even limited, there are a lot of creative choices that both novice and experienced players can make when building an Alchemist in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. i am aware that tuning down the combat difficulty for this encounter is an option, but i really dont want to - i prefer to keep the difficulty im playing on static. am i missing something/doing something wrong? is this fight bugged? or is the fight just crazy overtuned? i'm playing on Core difficulty, with Normal damage crits and 1.0 dmg (so no dmg adjust either way). I'm level 18 right now, so there's not a whole lot of room for levelling up to gain strength. After some amount of time has passed, a man claiming royalty will appear in the Citadel indulge.

she has approximately a squillion(*only a mild exaggeration) shots a round, plus spellcasts. Trickster The Fool King You'll receive this quest as a Trickster partway through The Fifth Crusade. depending on whether Noctilcula shoots at me or the Council NPCs first, the fight is over in 2-6 rounds. i still have no control of my characters, because Mind Fog. and the rare occasion one of my party members actually makes that brutally high Fort save? it doesn't even matter.
the only way for my characters - who are no marshmallows, and who are all buffed up - to pass the crazy high DC is to get a nat 20 on the save. but Nocticula always goes first, and she wrecks the Council's shit in a heartbeat, followed by wrecking my shit even faster. the devil guy and the peace-loving woman sometimes make their Fort saves, and my gorgeous man Cobblehoof has always made the saves in the attempts i've made to do the fight. not even the Council NPCs, for the most part, can make the save. a DC 42 Fort save is needed to do anything because of her Seductive Aura thing, which also cuts straight through any spells/feats/items that would otherwise negate mind-controlling/loss-of-control-prevention things. return through the closet to my bedroom, interact with the Council Closet Portal, talk to Socothbenoth, go into the Council Chambers. Makes Shatter Defenses really easy to proc, letting your whole party get a massive to-hit boost against anything not immune to Shaken.So, i've just played the pranks and killed Shamira for her essence for the late-game Trickster Mythic quest.

There's also the Persuasion Tricks, which let you get a free Dazzling Display when combat starts that can later lead to Paralysis or even Death. Play a magnificent trick (Trickster) Turn him into a woman and force her into prostitution Red Mask strongly approves and names herself an antihero Hand approves. Most of the skill tricks are a massive boost to your whole party, like World 2 turning all your natural 1's into 20's, or Arcana boosting every magic item you find while Nature gives you items every time you rest. Of course you don't HAVE to be a mobility trickster, in which case pretty much anything works. This video does a good job of showcasing how insane such a build can get (though he makes different class choices): And Vital Strike (Mythic) has a lot of synergy with Power Attack and Two-Handed weapons. This makes it synergize well with the Vital Strike line of feats, as with all those move actions being dedicated to moving you don't really want to be standing still in order to full-attack things.
This also means that, most rounds, your move action will be pre-occupied with, well, moving.
This means that the trickster can pump mobility, take combat reflexes, and then just run through a bunch of enemies and make a bunch of attacks. Trickster has a few big things going for it, but one of the BIGGEST is the level 2 Mobility trick, which lets you make an Attack of Opportunity against any enemy whose Attack of Opportunity you avoid (and make them flat footed!). I played a Slayer (Arcane Enforcer) with 1 level of Monk (Scaled Fist) in the beta and let me tell you it SLAPS.
